We crafted a colorful journey through a world of pop art motifs filled with protagonists and antagonists. Combining elaborate costume design, theatrical set design and dance sequences we used layers of animation techniques to unfold a dream within a dream.

SRND was approached by the pop artist Neon Trees to develop a video concept for the lead single of their highly anticipated record Pop Psychology.

Approach

Directors Brad Palmer and Brian Palmer crafted a surreal world of pop art vignettes with the premise of a dream within a dream.

Result

The video climbed to #2 on the Top 20 video countdown. SRND expanded the art direction of the video into a complete line of merchandise and a limited edition Record Store Day 7inch single.
